January 2025 Teaser

The land trembles as tensions in Hellgrim reach their boiling point. The rebellious forces, emboldened by recent victories, have begun to push back against the Baron of Despair and his heavily armored troops from Osuria. Skirmishes erupt across the ashen streets, and whispers of a larger uprising circulate through the alleys and taverns, but the people still seem to need something to galvanize them into action...

----

Meanwhile, Obyr stands on the brink of collapse. Several councilors, once the city's pillars of governance, have fled in fear after several have gone "missing". The exodus has left Obyr leaderless, with the remaining councilors descending into chaos. The Forges of the city still rage with flames and the heat has begun bleeding into the city itself, making it like a sauna even in winter.

The tower of stone has grown, now taking more and more space and beginning to destroy peoples homes as it expands.

Finally the Librarian has been seen, a moment of uplifting as she always seemed to be the most calm and collected, however reports have it that she drained the souls of dozens of citizens who came to her for aid then fled back into the Grand Library.

Obyr is maintained now by the guard under Captain Garmr and a secret group known to the people only as the whisperers...

----

Beneath the surface, however, a darker menace stirs. The Sunless Sea, a vast and treacherous body of water hidden in the underdark, has begun to churn with activity. For months, the horrors that dwell there have been eerily silent, waiting for a strike that never came. But now, the Evil within has grown bold. Shadowy figures are seen moving along ancient pathways, their movements purposeful and deliberate. The denizens of the surface whisper of an ancient evil preparing to strike.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that its forces may set their sights on the City of the Glass Pools. Many fear that the Great Shobath seeks to retake it as a staging ground for its renewed campaign against the surface world.

----

Not all is dark though, the Frontier, once a place of lawlessness and rogues is forming into one of the most stable areas in all the realm. New towns have begun popping up such as new Kartoff, where its people grow potatoes and share with other settlements their bounties which seem to grow no matter the weather, season or soil conditions.

Rybalkin, a coastal town has opened several trade routes in the area hoping to promote economic growth of both themselves and those around them.

Namash Lushon's dwarves have even been seen coming out of their stoney mountain homes to interact with the people of the Frontier.

----

But which way will fortune turn now? Will disasters strike the largest populations hubs along the frontier of Obyr and Hellgrim just as things have seemed to improve which would send the Frontier back into a lawless place due tot he refugees or will things take a different turn and shine bright?
